Ms. Ting's Tutoring

At Ms. Ting’s Tutoring, I offer boutique 1-1 tutoring, writing, and college preparation services. All lessons are tailor-made for your child’s abilities, needs, interests, and goals.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and have worked as a high school and middle school teacher, academic mentor, college writing specialist, and contractor for premier tutoring agencies in the LA area.

My subject expertise is in History and English, both of which I have taught as a classroom teacher at the Honors, AP, and IB level. I have a passion for working with middle and high school students looking to strengthen their subject knowledge and gain confidence in their academic performance. Alongside teaching the humanities, I have worked as a private math tutor (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry) for over eight years.

I provide services in-person in West LA or via Google Meet nationwide (with $20/hr discount). Meeting notes and essay brainstorming, composition, review, and editing are conducted via Google Drive.
